Privacy Policy

Namecurve does not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. There is no account, no server, and nothing to opt out of.
What we collect
Nothing. We do not ask for your name, your email, your due date, or anything else. There is no sign-up and no sign-in. We have no servers that could receive your information, and no way to identify you.
What stays on your phone
The app saves a few things locally so it still works the next time you open it. All of this lives in the app's own storage on your device:
- The names you saved
- The names you passed on, so you aren't shown them again
- The filters you last chose
- Whether you've seen the welcome screen
None of it is uploaded. Deleting the app removes all of it permanently. Because it is never sent anywhere, we cannot recover it for you if you delete the app or lose your phone.
The name data
The name records are built into the app when it is installed, so browsing and searching work with no internet connection. They come from the United States Social Security Administration's public birth-name records, which are in the public domain. Looking up a name does not send a request anywhere — the whole book is already on your phone.
Sending your list to a partner
When you tap Send my list to my partner, the app hands a short piece of text to your phone's own share sheet. You choose where it goes — a messaging app, email, notes, anywhere.
That text never passes through us. Once it leaves the app, it is handled by whichever app you picked, under that app's own privacy policy.
Advertising and analytics
There are none. No advertising networks, no analytics or crash-reporting services, no tracking pixels, no advertising identifier. We do not know how many times you opened the app or which names you looked at.
Third parties
We do not share information with third parties, because we do not have any information to share. If you download the app from the App Store or Google Play, those stores collect their own information about the download under their own policies — that happens between you and them, and we receive no personal information from it.
Children
Namecurve is intended for adults choosing a name for a baby. It is not directed at children, and since it collects nothing, it collects nothing from children either.
Your rights
Laws such as the GDPR and the CCPA give you the right to see, correct, export, or delete the personal data a company holds about you. We hold none, so there is nothing for us to show or delete. The data on your phone is yours: you can remove individual names inside the app, or delete the app to remove everything at once.
Changes
If this policy ever changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. If a future version of the app ever collected anything, we would say so here and in the app before it happened.
